Some important reminders:
Greenhills, Ohio 1938 – 2018
Greenhills is now celebrating its 80th Anniversary with the planting of 80 oak trees! Oak is the traditional gift for an 80th anniversary, symbolizing wisdom and longevity!
The Village of Greenhills has been designated a Tree City USA for many, many years. Our community recognizes that trees are a valuable resource that provide environmental, social and aesthetic benefits to the Village.
But it takes a Village to maintain a healthy tree canopy! The Greenhills Tree Advisory Board would like to recognize and reward individuals, groups or businesses who take the initiative to preserve existing trees or plant new trees in the Village.
Guidelines for Tree Awards
The Greenhills Tree Board will accept letters of nomination for projects that include tree preservation, tree planting, tree, environmentally sound site planning, or educate the public about trees.
The Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) main replacement project is underway! The streets involved include Ireland, Illona, Jennings and Japonica. This project will go on for a number of months. Final paving of the impacted streets will occur in the Spring.
If at any time you have questions regarding this project, you may contact the Greater Cincinnati Water Works, at #591-5056, or Rack & Ballhauer, the Contractor, at #738-7000, extension 17.
Keeping your yard and property clear of debris and trash is important. This includes the proper use and storage of garbage cans.
