NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING A ZONE CHANGE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3 BECKFORD DRIVE

DATE OF HEARING:         MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2025 AT 6:00 PM

LOCATION:                         11000 WINTON ROAD, COUNCIL CHAMBERS

The Village received an application from the owner of 3 Beckford Drive – Mr. Robert Carter – requesting the official zoning map be amended to reflect a change of zoning from R-1 to R-2 for the property at 3 Beckford Drive.  If this change is granted, Mr. Carter intends to construct 4 attached townhouses on his property.

Current Zoning – The R-1 Zoning District allows the following uses:

 1127.02 PRINCIPALLY PERMITTED USES.

   Principally permitted uses shall be as follows:

   (a)   Single family detached dwellings.

   (b)   Two family dwellings.

   (c)   Publicly owned parks and playgrounds.

Proposed Zoning – The R-2 Zoning District allows the following uses:

1129.02 PRINCIPALLY PERMITTED USES.

   Principally permitted uses are as follows:

   (a)   Multiple family dwelling units.

   (b)   Two family dwelling units.

   (c)   Single family dwelling units.

   (d)   Publicly owned parks and playgrounds.
